Breakfast at hotel. Departure. Along route short stop at Pentedattilo, picturesque abandoned village perched on a hand-shaped rock. Continuation of journey. Arrival at Gerace, enchanting medieval village and visit Cathedral, the largest in Calabria, the deconsecrated church of San Francesco, with its splendid polychrome marble altar. Lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon, visit to Antiquarium of Locri and the archaeological area of the ancient Greek colony. Evening arrival at hotel in Siderno or nearby. Accommodation in rooms reserved for group. Siderno – Stilo – Bivongi – Siderno
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for whole-day excursion. Arrival at Bivongi. Excursion in jeep to Marmarico Falls. Lunch at typical local restaurant. Afternoon – visit to old town of Stilo and its famous Byzantine basilica “La Cattolica”. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.  

Siderno - Pizzo - Tropea - Vibo Valentia
Breakfast at hotel. Along route visit to Pizzo, characteristic little town on the Tyrrhenian coast, dominated by the Aragonese castle (the prison of Gioacchino Murat, King of Naples). Visit also to the unusual church of Piedigrotta, dug out of the rock. Arrival at hotel. Accommodation in rooms reserved for group and lunch. Afternoon- excursion to Tropea, a balcony overlooking one of the most beautiful stretches of the Broom Riviera, between Capo Vaticano and Punta Zambrone. Visit town: the Cathedral and its treasures, the Church of Santa Maria dell’Isola. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Crotone – Le Castella – Reggio Calabria or nearby
Breakfast at hotel. Morning dedicated to visit of rocky peninsular stretching from Capo Colonna and the island fortress of Le Castella, evoking memories of the Magna Grecia, and the solitary Doric column which gives its name to the promontory and is all that remains of the great temple of Hera Lacinia. Continuation to Le Castella and visit Aragonese castle which dominates the whole village. Continuation to Reggio Calabria. Arrival at hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Reggio Calabria – Scilla  - Reggio Calabria

Breakfast at hotel. Visit city of Reggio Calabria: the National Museum which houses the two famous bronze statues of Riace; the sea promenade, once defined by Gabriele d’Annunzio as the most beautiful kilometre in Italy and where, it is said, the mirage of the Fata Morgana can be seen; the Cathedral. Lunch at restaurant. Afternoon – excursion to the mythical village of Scilla and its picturesque fishing quarter “La Chianalea”; the Castle of the Ruffo, perched on a rock overlooking the sea and the wonderful belvedere. Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
